How I can support you

Three areas of focus, one aim: shaping change in a way that brings the people in the organization along.

  1. 01

    Change & transformation

Steering complex, often global change processes – from strategy through to implementation, across continents.

    Typical questions

    • Where are the most powerful levers for implementing our strategy?
    • How can skepticism and resistance become a source of something new?
    • How do we shape a post-merger integration that brings our people along?
    • Process consulting
    • Workshops
    • Facilitation
  2. 02

    Leadership

Strengthening leaders and teams so that they can act together, even in times of uncertainty.

    Typical questions

    • How do I translate the company strategy into my own leadership practice?
    • How do I integrate two departments?
    • How do I set up my team well – across cultures and continents?
    • Coaching
    • Team development
    • Leadership development
  3. 03

    Strategy with executive teams

Working with top executive teams to create clarity, decide together and give the organization direction.

    Typical questions

    • How do we speak with one voice as a leadership team?
    • How do we make the necessary decisions together?
    • How do we involve our partners in Asia and the headquarters in the US?
    • Strategy work
    • Executive team coaching
    • Stakeholder analysis

Approach

Change rarely unfolds according to plan.

The goals are sound and the plan is in place – then the initiative meets the dynamics of the organization, and the process stalls. That is where I come in: as a Host of Transformative Spaces, I create spaces in which it begins to flow again.

  1. 1

    Diagnose

A systemic diagnosis of the specific situation: Where are tensions building up? What is blocking movement? What wants to emerge?

  2. 2

    Open up spaces

Different perspectives, ambiguities and tensions can be voiced – and put to productive use.

  3. 3

    Guide with impact

I advise, guide and facilitate – whatever the process needs. Tailored, co-created, and designed so that the aims of the change can already be experienced.

Project examples

From practice

A selection of recent assignments I have supported as a systemic consultant.

Manufacturing Post-merger integration

Situation

Former competitors are expected to pull together as one team – but structures and processes are misaligned at every turn.

What the team wrestled with

  • How can we grow together without losing the strengths we each bring?
  • How can we act quickly, even though the conditions are not yet in place?

Approach

Workshops vertically with top management and horizontally with the senior leadership team, complemented by individual coaching for the workstream leads.

Automotive Strategy work in a manufacturing plant

Situation

Within a few weeks everything changed: new owners, new plant leadership, new expectations – and very different views of the situation within the leadership team.

What the team wrestled with

  • How can we speak with one voice and give the organization direction?
  • How can we make the necessary decisions together?

Approach

A joint analysis of the stakeholder landscape, clarifying expectations with the new plant leadership, and jointly making sense of signals from the wider environment.

Global high-tech company · 18 months Leadership development

Situation

The market is changing at speed and the organization keeps adapting. Leaders need to remain able to act amid this complexity.

What the team wrestled with

  • How do we balance local delivery with being “one global company”?
  • How do we connect individual leadership development with implementing the new strategy?

Approach

A program built around real business challenges and co-created with the client: dialogue sessions with the executive board, online modules, regional in-person days on participants’ own cases, and peer groups.

About

Christina Janssen

Expert in strategy, change and leadership – with deep experience on the global stage.

For 30 years I have been exploring how organizations grow into what comes next – as a leader and as a consultant. As managing director of a consulting firm and as a manager at the United Nations, I know first-hand what it means to navigate different expectations.

For 17 years I looked at Europe from the outside in – from the US, India and Latin America. It sharpened my eye for cultural dynamics, and for change under demanding conditions.
